IMC Philadelphia Chapter Invites You to:

Join us for a Dinner “Buzz Session”

Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Bonefish Grill, King of Prussia Mall

5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

The Future of Consulting- the Future Consultant

Presenters:  Ira S. Wolfe and Nate Bronstein

Moderator:  Ellen Marshall, IMC-Philly Board Member

The overarching theme of the Chapter’s meeting this year is “The Future of Consulting- Consultants of Tomorrow”.  In choosing this theme the Chapter intends to enhance its role in providing Philadelphia-area consultants professional sessions that enlightens us in ways that matter to our practice and ability to serve our current and future clients.

The program schedule for 2017-18 will include information regarding industry trends, marketing, sales, business models, and the voice of the client and how clients could be affected by industry dynamics.   The Chapter leadership recognizes that the future is now as business may be usual in some ways, but it is in an environment of business as unusual.  Today, no industry is immune to change and certainly not consulting.

You do not want to miss this program, which promises to:

  • Be thought provoking
  • Inspire and include substantive opportunity for audience participation
  • Cultivate forward/strategic thinking
  • Deliver insights that participants can use in their businesses

The program schedule kicks off on September 14 with a focused look at what is driving change for our clients and how this is affecting consulting practice and its value proposition.   Yes, technology is a key part of it, but there is much more.   Our presenters, Ira Wolfe and Nate Bronstein bring different perspectives to the topic from their consulting and business development experiences and vantage points.  Their perspectives and the point/counterpoint they will display will make for informative and stimulating conversation.

Ira S. Wolfe has emerged as one of HR’s most visionary thinkers in managing the convergence of the tired, the wired, and technology. Described as a “Millennial trapped in a Baby Boomer body,” Ira personifies the passion and mindset required to embrace the future that will be, not the past that was. His enthusiasm and engaging approach inspires his clients and audience to challenge preconceptions about what it takes to attract, select, manage, and retain top talent and take the initiative to make change work for them.

Ira is a TEDx Speaker and President of Success Performance Solutions, a company that provides a portfolio of employee assessments from pre-hire to leadership development as well as recruitment software and consulting. He is a prolific blogger, contributing writer, podcaster, and author.  His first book The Perfect Labor Storm launched him onto the national stage which was followed by Geeks, Geezers, and Googlization.  His 2016 TEDx Talk Make Change Work for You became the inspiration for his latest book Recruiting in the Age of Googlization: When the Shift Hits Your Plan.  In 2016, he was invited to join the ranks of an elite group of executive leadership coaches on the Forbes Coaches Council.

Nate A. Bronstein, M.S.Ed., M.S.S.P., M.P.A., is a former teacher from North Philadelphia; he earned his masters degrees in Education, Public Administration and the Science of Social Policy respectively from the University of Pennsylvania. Nate has extensive experience as a consultant on statewide policy initiatives as well as political campaign strategy and management. He currently serves as the founder and CEO of the mobile-based EdTech company, SmartTrack, the US business development director of the Social Innovations Journal and the Business Development Director of the National Trade Association for retail health clinics, the Convenient Care Association.  Nate has spent the last three years working as both the Co-Founder and CEO of one DC-based startup and one Philadelphia-based startup working to solve inefficiencies in how people connect, organize and manage their resources.  Nate has written for the Chronicle of Social Change and is currently serving on the board of Philadelphia's oldest and largest music school. He is a Philadelphia native and has a long history of youth civic engagement having become a Truman Finalist, the campaign manager of a political campaign and the student body president of American University in 2011.
